Background

I founded Nohbo (B-Corp) freshman year of high school, wanting to combat the destructive impact of single-use plastics. We invented water soluble pods for personal care applications, and built it into an incredible company: Went on Shark Tank, closed a deal with Mark Cuban, raised $11MM, inked 7-figure sales contracts, and filed 8 patents (4 issued).

To make the business work, I started two manufacturing facilities from scratch. We made our own products, and to keep the lights on, incubated dozens of other brands. Some worked, others didn’t.

That decade living inside the factory gave me an up-close view of just how disconnected and fragile the systems keeping supply chains running actually are. Tenkara is my attempt to fix that.
